OLD BUSINESS
There was no newsletter for December (Annual Dinner only in December).
We agreed to purchase the hunting rifle we have been discussing (for a raffle item). We have to pay only half now- Heather wrote a check for it at the meeting ($275). We will get raffle tickets made up and will begin selling them asap. Prices for raffle tickets will be $10/ticket or buy 3 for $25. We would like all the members to sell tickets if possible. We will have more information as we get tickets made. The proceeds from our raffle sales will go into paying bills and improvements to our arena and/or building so we can host more events. The more people that can help us sell tickets the better!!!!
Memberships are due as of January 1st. If you have not paid your dues, please do so and note the new mailing address.
Heather closed the post office box in December. It was costing us $100/year. The mailing address will move with the secretary/treasurer each year.
NEW BUSINESS
We discussed calendar events. We could not make any definite dates as we do not have the polo schedule yet. We will work on our calendar again at the February meeting. If you have an event you would like to see the LSC put on this year, please let us know at the next meeting, or email Heather before then.
We discussed making a flyer to post around Billings, Laurel, etc. Most places pull the flyers after 30 days, so we will each work on posting them year-round as best as we can. Kim will draw up a flyer for us to look @ in February. We can email it to all the members, then anybody can post one if they have a good location for it.
We discussed updating our by-laws as our current by-laws are from 1997. We will be continuing with this project again in February. All members at the meeting received a copy of the by-laws to review & revise. If you need a copy, please click this link: 1997 By-Laws

Laurel Saddle Club Trail Rides.
Please check with the ride host before
bringing your well-behaved dog.

page or call an officer if arena use is in question.
